Hi, I am looking into creating our own brand of fashion apparell and jeans, my husband and I are independant retailors, we have 2 boutiques in Dallas TX USA, i have been in the retail industry, since my 20’s retailing jeans is not been my forte and dont sell any jeans currently at my 2 stores, we sell brands such as Johnny Was, Gold Hawk and a very comfortable clothing Charli london from the UK we are related to this company, we would like to start in our own brands, it is high time so we really want to manufacture rather then buy other brands, where do i start? best Regards, Samira Ebrahim
Hi Samira,
Well to start you need to define who you want your denim to be made for. Where does it need to be made, how does it need to feel, perform, price point, washes that would sell… why do they want your jeans? Then find a manufacture to work with to make them. Create your fit block, approve the sample and push PLAY! My only words of advice: Prior Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

What jeans would you recommend for 6ft 6 inches 260 lbs guy. I have the AG jean, Levis, 7 for man kind. AG is very comfortable but wear out in the crotch. Levis is very rigid and multi purpose. The 7 for mankind runs a bit short for 36L but the elastine in the jeans is fantastic. I have heard of the 34 heritage jeans but can’t find my size. I was a fan of lucky brand but the quality has declined and very limited options in the fitted jean category. Your insights will be helpful
